Development test bench for hydrogen valves in the automotive industry

This test bench is used for the development of proportional pressure and shut-off valves for hydrogen fuel systems. It is tested up to a nominal pressure of 700bar. A highly dynamic valve system is integrated to generate pressure fluctuations on the consumer side as in combustion engines. A heatable test chamber also makes it possible to test how different temperatures affect the test specimen. Particular attention was paid to the selection of materials and components to ensure that the test rig is leak-proof. To avoid Ex zones, the test rig operates with forming gas. This saves costs at the same time.
